St Mary’s Secondary School News
It was a very busy week for all in St. Mary’s Secondary School. 3rd Year History students had a great trip to the Thomas MacDonagh Heritage Centre in Cloughjordan, our Transition Year students cooked up a storm at Recipe for Success, the Agricultural Science students went on a Farm Visit as part of their Leaving Certificate project work. Sixth Year student, Paulina Timmons attended UCC for a presentation of awards following her win of the UCC School of Law Essay Competition 2017! And our Badminton players stole the show by becoming Munster Champions and will now represent Munster at the upcoming All Ireland Final. Congratulations to Jean Daly, Sophie Hudson, Lynn Farrell, Anna O’Keeffe and Caoimhe Taplin who make up our U14 team. We had a huge performance also my our U19 team in the Munster finals by just missing out in a place in the All Irelands on count back of aces. Terrific playing by Alexa Banaghan, Sorcha McInerney, Niamh Byrne, Aisling Byrne and Caoimhe Costello. Congratulations to all involved and to Ms Maguire.
