There is a newly refurbished computer room at St. Mary’s with 26 computers and a printer. Each computer is set up with Microsoft Office 2003 and during transition year the students take their E.C.D.L. exams.

Other class groups use the computer room for both mainstream and resource education classes to develop their skills on the computer. Students are given the opportunity to resource topics on the internet, write reports and use other online resources in order to improve their understanding of subjects being studied.

The music package Sibelius 6 was installed on the computers for use by the music classes. Sibelius is the leading music composition and notation software and is used by the students to develop their ability at composition. In addition to editing and printing scores, Sibelius also allows the student to play music back as well as scan and import printed scores for editing.
