Career Guidance
The guidance department in St.Mary's, in conjunction with all other departments strive to help all our students to maximize their potential whilst they are in school. Another one of our aims is to assist our students with their research on options available to them when they graduate from secondary school. With this aim in mind the link below will help to facilitate both parents and students with this research.
For example: All courses that are currently available (in Ireland) to leaving certificate students can be accessed through the Qualifax or Careers Portal tab. Courses available in Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland can be accessed through the UCAS tab.
We have also included information booklets for all parents on study skills, a booklet for parents of senior cycle students on factors to consider when looking at possible career options and finally a booklet for parents of sixth years on the CAO system etc.
